Bar Manager, Firefly Bar
Mr. Hartono’s main responsibility will be managing the Firefly Bar, renowned for its exceptional spirits, premium wines, and classic cocktails. He will also oversee beverage service at all Sindhorn Kempinski outlets, including Firefly Bar, Flourish, the Lobby Lounge, and a soon-to-be-debuted Japanese Izakaya.
Over a decade ago in Indonesia, Mr. Hartono embarked on a career that would take him across Asia and into the Middle East. From launching the first Veuve Clicquot Champagne Bar in Dubai at The Address Dubai Marina Hotel to developing
a house-brand gin for the Back Room Bar at Shangri-La The Fort in Manila, he has consistently enhanced beverage services and offerings at every location.
This includes managing multiple outlets at Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah in Muscat, Pudong Shangri-La East Shanghai, and China World Summit Wing Beijing. Even while successfully overseeing beverage operations, Mr. Hartono was recognised for his mixology skills with several accolades.
Among them are winning the National Hospitality Institute Oman mocktail competition in 2012, being named a Top 4 Finalist in the World Class Bartender Diageo Competition for the Middle East Region in 2015, and securing 3rd place in the Shangri-La Bartender of the Year in 2018.
