Pranisa Treechanasin, better known as Niza, is a familiar face in the bartending scene. Hailing from Thailand, Niza stumbled onto the beverage scene while exploring options to continue her studies. After gaining a degree in marketing, she decided to pursue her love for the beverage industry and started her career in 2014 as a barback at the now defunct 1881 by Water Library. Later, she moved to work as a Food & Beverage Specialist at Park Hyatt Bangkok, where she trained new bartenders and went on to serve as Stella’s Head Bar Manager at Capella Bangkok. With over 9 years in the hospitality business, Niza brought a wealth of knowledge from running the bars at prestigious hotels in Bangkok to sunny Singapore!

One of her most noteworthy expeditions took her to the Tokyo International Bar Show, having travelled widely for guest shifts and bartending competitions and is constantly learning about the different cultures and various local ingredients. A big foodie herself, Niza makes use of these opportunities to discover ingredients with flavour profiles that are on different ends of the spectrum and uses them in curating unique concoctions. She is also passionate about showcasing her own heritage, during her shifts at other bars or on her travels

Her dedication to craft and astounding creativity hasled her to several bartending stints around the globe. Niza is now the Head Bartender at Origin Bar at Shangri-La Singapore. She enjoys meeting new people and creating a bond with people she meets. Guests can certainly look forward to an experiential journey that merges the rigour of craft with the joys of newly forged connections as she serves deftly crafted drinks for every palate
